'Highlands Students Receive Their First Pen Pal Letters.'

We are all extremely excited that our first Pen Pal letters have arrived! We are in the middle of lots of tests at the moment (all of those beginning of the year data gathering and diagnostic tests) and these letters are a very welcome distraction. We have also written letters introducing ourselves and will now have a name to put in the 'Dear ________________ ' space at the top. S. M. Rimba students should expect some 'mail' very soon!

Planning our first letters...

The students in Room 3 are putting thought into what to include in our first letters. We are also learning a little bit about life in Brunei Darussalam and S.M. Rimba School. We will be starting to write our first letters later in the week. Mrs Maihi has also set up the Blog so that Mr Fuller has full Admin. access so he can put his posts on the main page with ours.

2011 - A great year to connect with a Pen-Pal!

Well, we have been back at school for 4 days here in New Zealand. At Highlands Intermediate School in New Plymouth, Room 3 Year 8 students are starting to get used to their new room, new teacher, new class mates and new expectations.

One of the many things they have been told this week is that they are to have pen pals this year - they are to be linked up with students their own age at a school in Brunei!
